It was early morning when every television and radio turned themselves on for the whole world to hear, and see, if they were wealthy enough to afford a television. “Good Morning Rainbow!” said a reporter. “I am in Teal City where blinding purple lights are striking the center of the city like bolts of lightning from the Heavens.” All over the globe, in all six sections of Rainbow, everyone watched as a reporter from each color spoke similar words. All from the same location. Teal City, in Blue. The phenomenon had been going on for a few hours. “I, along with thousands of others, are witnessing what appears to be a meteor falling from the sky towards the purple lightning.” The world shook and became dark for half a second, “Sorry about that everyone, we are all ok here. We just had some technical difficulties.” Those who watched on television could see from every angle through traffic and helicopter cams. “The lightning has stopped and we have a confirmed aerial view of something where the meteor had hit. I can’t see what’s going on anymore, Chad can you describe for us what you are seeing up there?” The radio feed buzzed, “Chad are you there, can you hear me?” Still nothing but static came from the feed. Then gunshots and explosions. “I-I don’t know what’s going on but rounds have been fired and…” Peering over the rubble, the reporter watched a fox brutally kill several people in succession. “There is a six-foot fennec fox and it is killing people of every color with a sword. I don’t know who else…”
The fox came, as though from nowhere, and grabbed the reporter by her neck and held her up in the air. Then he looked at the cameraman and the camera, along with the man holding it, melted. The fox choked the reporter until she passed out and dropped her.
The next morning,
“Sir, you need to see this.” Admiral Carl Bruko of the green leaned over to see what was on the man’s screen. “As you can see sir, this fox is bulletproof and very good at what he does.”
“What exactly does he do Private?” asked the Admiral.
The Private put his map on screen and lit up the path left by their unexpected guest. “As you can see, it’s moving. It’s also killing everything and everyone in its path and if we don’t stop it soon, it will kill everything on Rainbow.”
“Has there been any contact with the other colors?” the Admiral asked quickly.
“No, but we haven’t tried yet.” the Private replied. “Wait, there’s one coming in now.”
“Well, who is it from? What does it say?” urged the Admiral.
“It’s from the red people and it’s live,” the Private replied. “Should I patch it through?”
The Admiral nodded and a red man appeared on the screen at the end of the room. “Red,” said Admiral Carl Bruko of the green to the red man.
“Green,” said Admiral Trev Jukse of the red to the green man. “I’m sure you’ve heard about the fox that now threatens us all.”
“Yes,” replied Admiral Carl. “Have you made any contact with the other colors?”
Just then more live feeds came through. “Sir it’s the other colors,” the Private of the green interrupted.
“This is Admiral Kalven Trusker of the yellow, does anyone read?”
“This is Admiral Suko Yoyro of the purple, seeking all other colors.”
This is Admiral Asher Hiem of the blue, seeking communication with anyone who receives this.”
“This is Admiral Kesp Drogg of the orange, is anyone out there?”
Every color on Rainbow had their war leader on the comms. After a long discussion, all colors agreed, a nuclear warhead would be used on the fox once it reached a specified area. The spot was chosen for lowest estimated death toll but when it struck there was no explosion. Instead, there was an implosion that sucked in all the radiation and destruction. The Military leaders watched as the fox shook itself off. Then it took its sword and stabbed it into the ground causing all the force of the nuclear warhead to be unleashed in a flurry of fire and lightning that covered the world. Black clouds wreathed in purple lighting covered the sky and the land, even the oceans became scorched in fire.
One Year later,
Terial, a purple woman, ran through back alleys and empty streets trying to flee from the ones who chased her. Her heart pounded hard within her chest as threats of death were shouted at her from behind. She was so terrified she never noticed the blue man, walking alone. She ran into him, tripping and twisting her ankle. She couldn’t hear anything as she watched the blue man pull a gun and aim it at her assailants. She looked up and saw purple lightning surge and then strike with disorienting force. She felt her arm shake.
“Come on, do you want to die here?” Shouted the blue man.
“My leg!” Terial shouted in pain. “I can’t move. Just go!” She watched as the blue man emptied the clip of his gun with no effect. The fox took the gun and melted it, then it headbutted the blue man. Terial looked around for anything she could use. Desperate, she grabbed a piece of broken glass and stabbed it into the fox’s side. Molten lava poured from the wound as the fox grunted in pain. It looked at Terial and disappeared in a flash of purple lighting. Terial examined the shard as the creature’s strange blood dripped from it.

Atop the peak of the tallest mountain in the World Edward laid there in the snow. “They found a weakness,” said Zesrial.
“My brother is perfect for this job. He would enjoy it,” Edward grunted as he, slowly, burned the wound shut. “As much as I hate it, this must be done. This is the only way.”
