In the frozen depths of Hell, Ember prepared the Sigil that would take her to Zesrial’s location, “Ember,” the Devil stopped her.
Rolling her eyes, “what is it now, Beelzebub?” Ember asked.
“I really wish you would stop calling me that,” the Devil replied.
“What do you want?” Ember repeated.
“I have most unfortunate news of your father,” the Devil answered. “He is dead.”

Vladamir awoke to the sound of steel clanking together. He sat up to find himself next to a fire, one of many, surrounded by weapons, armor, and tents. A man grabbed his arm and hoisted him up, “come on Vlad, time to suit up and get ready. We need you up front,” it was the hood man with the grey feathered cloak.
“Hybrid, half Vampire, son of Queen Zurina, heir to the Vampiric throne” Vlad still could hear the words in his head. Then he heard a knew a new voice within his head saying, “get up Wyyvern Knight. You have a job to do.”
“Get up, Vlad!” Michael said again. “We have a job to do.”
Vladamir Korvachoff stood up, “I’m good.”
“Then suit up and grab a weapon, we need you at the front with the rest of the half-Vampires,” Michael guided him to the smithy. “Get this man a weapon,” Vlad checked his person to find his old weapons missing. He turned back to Michael to ask where they had gone but he had already left to help others prepare.
“What can I get you, Sir,” the smithy asked with a thick and burly accent. “What you see here is what I have, if you want anything else I shall require a blueprint.”
Vlad browsed the weapons carefully. The Smithy had everything from swords axes and shields to flintlocks bows and crossbows. Normally he’d grab a sword and a bow or crossbow, but something made him want none of them. On his mind was a weapon he did not know. It called to him, and he wanted for nothing else, “I’m good.”
“Bare-handed, Sir?” the smithy questioned. “Very well, let me at least get you some armor,” he insisted. “Heavy, light, or something in between?”
“Something in between,” Vlad replied. The smithy handed him the armor, “why a hood?”
“Vladamir!” Van Helsing called to him. “Come with me and stay close. The battle will begin soon, and I have been tasked with keeping you alive.” He cocked an eyebrow at Vlad, “no weapon?”
“I couldn’t find the one I want,” Vlad replied.
Van laughed threw a punch at Vlad. Eyes wide, Vlad had caught the punch, he was far stronger than he thought he was. Slowly he twisted Van’s arm and punched back. Van got up, wiped the blood from his lip, and spat out a tooth, “I just needed to be sure you could handle yourself.”
“Sorry, I guess I don’t know my own strength…” Van’s blood caught his eyes, and he began to want it.
Van snapped his fingers several times in Vlad’s face snapping Vlad out of his trance, “don’t you get all blood-thirsty on my now, Vlad. You are stronger than Dracula, never forget that.” He put a hand on Vlad’s shoulder and guided him to the front line.
“Do you see them?” a hybrid next to him asked. Vlad could see them. Across the battlefield, a horde of Vampires moved toward them like a cloud of red and black. “Our odds of survival are n…?”
Vlad simply looked at him and the hybrid immediately shutup took a step back, unable to resist Vladamir’s will, “What is your name?”
“Yemi Frozikoff,” he could not believe who he was talking to, “you are the son of our queen.”
Then Vladamir Korvachoff said, “try not to think about the Odds.”

Meanwhile, back in the Lands, Dolan stopped and put a hand on Katherine’s head, “stay close to me.” He could hear something coming. He could feel the earth shift, “Show yourself, coward!” He was prepared to fight Skinner.
“Is that any way to talk to your mentor?” asked a familiar voice.
“Teacher,” Dolan was relived. “I am glad you are safe. Where are Criinos and Roil?”
“See Criinos? I told you he would miss us,” Roil said as he and Criinos revealed themselves.
“Who is the Cat-Rabbit?” Criinos questioned.
“I take it she is the one we are giving our magic too?” the Nameless smiled at Katherine as she examined her closely. “She will work, but we are running low on time.”
“She’s no Sergal,” Criinos pointed out.
“No,” the Nameless replied, “but we are all that remains of our race besides Skinner.”
“We cannot make her immortal,” Roil added.
“No,” Dolan replied, “but her children and her children’s children will share the magic we give her ensuring its preservation.”
“Wow, that all sounds very confusing,” a familiar unfriendly voice interrupted.
Slim walked out towards them, “looks like I beat everyone else here.” Then his ear twitched, and he dodged over a charging ram made of teal snow. His ear twitched again and he jumped out of the way of a dragon made of teal snow that e from underneath where he was.
“Teal snow?” Slim taunted. “What? The Devil come out of the closet?”
“It’s Hellsnow,” The ice covering Ember’s right fist shattered against Slim’s chest as her left fist came in for an uppercut that slim dodged. Ember headbutted Slim and was sent, face first to the ground. Slim laughed as Ember got back to her feet.
Faster than could be seen, Slim pulled his revolver from his dusty black coat, pulled back the hammer, and fired the bullet that killed Ember Fray. “Pitty, you had one Hell of a rack,” he looked around, “already moved one, huh? Well, I am a patient fox.” Walking South wondered where Skinner, Kul, Rya, and Ty were at the moment.

Zesrial watched the battle from above as her lightning kept the Vampires from owning the skies allowing Vladamir and his army to hold position. However, with the animals of the World at Dracula’s beck and call, it was only a matter of time. They needed the Werewolves, and the moon would not come out for several hours. She ceased her lightning and the light od the sun replaced her black clouds. Then a bolt of her lightning wrapped around the sun as another bolt went in the opposite direction. The moon was pulled to the sun and both shined their influence upon the World. A Howl was heard followed by thousands more. Zesrial looked down and saw that “we are winning.” Then both the sun and moon were blotted out as maniacal laughter echoed far and wide.
Zesrial struck Dracula down to the ground. “Is that all,” Dracula asked.
“Iron Ram!” Sarah’s headbutt made Dracula explode into a mist of blood.
The mist of blood reformed into Dracula, “done yet?”
A frozen greatsword burst through dDracula’schest and froze him solid. “Nope,” Pip replied as he twist Edward’s greatsword, shattering Dracula into ice cubes.
The cubs all melted and bubbled in a puddle as Dracula reformed his body from the shoes on his feet to his hair, “I can do this for eternity.”
“Where is Ember when you need her?” Pip questioned.

Aleister was looking down at Ember Fray’s corpse when Jessy and Jack caught up to him, “Keep going, your daughter is further South and in capable hands. I only have twenty-four hours to stop terrible events from unfolding, but I shall return.” With that, he took Ember and left the Realm.
