Letter From A Friend

Dear Edward,

I write this because I honestly want to know if you can see me. I’m told my job allows secrecy of exploits and location, even from God and the Fates. How’ve you been? I heard you became God and can do God things, think you can make this old blind Sergal see? You don’t have to, my Wyyvern allows me to see in ways that would make even you jealous. We have been good. We like our job. We get to see the Multiverse and live among its peoples. It can be demanding sometimes, even though the only three rules are win, don’t talk about it, and never go home. They don’t much care how we do it or how long it takes as long as the job gets done. I’ve witnessed Wyyvern Agents get fired for failing one mission. I’m not allowed to talk about it, but being fired as a Wyyvern Agent is a fate worse than death. It’s no wonder there are so few of us. The pay is good though and unlimited access to the Multiverse isn’t bad either. There is unfathomable diversity out here. Civilization ancient and new, wild and unforgiving wildernesses, entire galaxies and universes as open and colonized as a planet. I can, at the very least, say that there is as much peace as there is war. Your brother has done a great job keeping things balanced around here, but he always says that is only because Wyyvern Agents are involved. He doesn’t seem to care much for Wyyvern Knights though, even though he is one. Something about you guys are always making things more difficult than they need to be. Oh and that reminds me, I am surprised to have found a people that hates your guts, haha. The people there are colorful, literally. Red blue green yellow purple and orange, all united in the belief that you will one day return to wreak havoc once again. If you ever feel that Northlandish Fennec Fox urge to challenge yourself in a fight, they will definitely scratch that itch for you. Their religion is entirely centered on coming up with creative ways to capture and or kill you. What did you do to them? Most other places you’ve visited seem to like you, and trust me when I tell you it is obvious where you’ve been. You leave quite the impression. Anyway, I have to go. My current job is at the door and I can’t bottleneck an entire army for the win like you do. I have to employ a bit more finesse. I’ll write to you when I can.

Always your friend, Dolan Crow
