“Mad, I can’t hold this thing for much longer!” Clover shouted as the Ice Ram Primordial Titan battered against the Mobile Fortress again causing a loud clap that could be heard for miles. “One more good hit and I’m done for!”
“Hold on, Danil! I’m coming!” Madoline threw her seatbelt on, put Betty in gear, rotated the cockpit, so the cannon was behind her, and punched it using the cannon as rocket propulsion.
“Mad!?” The Primordial Ram’s horns were inches from the Mobile Fortress when its head suddenly dove down to the ground bringing the Titan to a complete dead stop.
“Perfect timing, Ilean,” Madoline sighed with relief as she achieved air time off an obsidian formation and rammed the graphene reinforced backside of Betty, which now faced front, into the Primordial Ram’s side knocking it down. Ilean held the Titan’s head to the ground by its horns as Madoline rotated Betty’s cockpit back to its original position, aimed her cannon directly between the Ice Primordial’s eyes, “chew on this, you big ugly,” and fired the 1000mm round at point blank range. The impact caused Betty to be knocked back and the Ram to be shattered into tiny pieces that Ilean caused to flow to her as she absorbed them through her skin. Upon belching a blizzard formed in Ilean’s wake that temporarily cleared and then enraged the Lightning Storm class Titan which returned with a vengeance.

The bright green beam shooting from the roaring maw of the Tree Dragon Primordial class Titan gave chase to Taz’s bike, “did you hear that?”
Reg smiled, “sounds like Madoline’s having fun. Probably took out what ever made that thunder clap earlier.”
Taz dodged a tail swipe, “I can’t get close enough. We need Ilean.”
“We can do this, we just need to get under it,” Reg replied.
“If that thing decides to lie down on top of us we are finished!” Taz argued.
“Hold on,” Reg could hear broken mic chatter, “the fog is clearing. Come in!, does anyone read! This is Master Chief Reg Cor of the UUPG!”
“Dad!” Madoline shouted over the coms.
“Mad! are you okay?” Reg, relieved, asked.
“Yeah, Ilean’s here. We just took down a Snow Primordial, but now there’s a Lightning Stor…” the radio cut off into static.
“Storm Class Titan?” Taz questioned. “You don’t suppose a little lightning could put a fire in Barkfolomew’s ass do you.”
“Even if it doesn’t, Ilean is there,” Reg replied. “She’s our best bet no matter what.”
“I got Mad’s tank on the radar, but still nothing on Danil’s Mobile Fortress or Solir’s dropship,” said Taz as he hid his bike behind an obsidian formation.
“Mad’s smart, she probably is broadcasting her signal as far as it can reach,” Reg replied. “Odds are, everyone’s with her. Now, let’s grab this thing’s attention again. I’d say it’s about Ilean’s lunchtime.”
Taz drove out into the open again and whistled, “Oh, Barkfolomew!” He revved the engines and took off just as the Primordial Tree Dragon took to the skies.
“Is this thing fast enough to outrun that thing in flight?” Reg asked.
“Doubt it,” replied Taz as he serpentined to avoid the Titan’s roar.

“Damn it,” cursed Jessy Dryvv. “I can’t see shit in this fog.”
“Oh good, I was beginning to think everyone was dead,” Francis Utili popped on the mic. “And here I was about to blow this entire Gia sky high with a detonator charge.”
“Please don’t,” replied Jessy. “Wait, this planet is a Gia class Titan?”
“And we are standing on an Obsidian Island class Titan surrounded by a Flame Tsunami class Titan,” Francis replied. “Really? Am I the only one taking readings here? Also, I am standing at the top a Volcano class Titan spewing some unknown element, and there appears to be a Lightning Storm class Titan hiding in the fog, but that last part was just out of observation so I could be wrong. I really hope I’m wrong.”
“Have been in contact with the others?” Jessy asked.
“What part of I thought you were all dead did you not understand?” Francis replied.
“What about Ilean?” Jessy questioned.
“Oh, she ate a Plutonium Kraken the size of this Island earlier, so I’d say we don’t have long before she eats the Gia itself,” Francis replied. “We may want to regroup for evacua…shit.”
Jessy’s eyes widened, “Shit? What is shit? Francis, what do you see?”
“Yeah so… You know that copper moon above the Gia?” Francis asked.
“Yeah, saw it on the way down,” Jessy replied. “Why?”
“Scanner says it is actually a Copper Asteroid class Titan,” Francis swallowed his fear, “and it is heading directly for us very fast.”
“Shit. Reg! Taz! Clover! Mad! Solir! anyone, do you read!” Jessy tried every channel. “Damn it! I can’t get through the Storm’s interference. ETA to impact?”
“15 mins tops,” Francis replied.
“I got a lock on Betty,” said Jessy, “Mad must be blasting her signal. Are you getting this?”
“Yup,” Francis replied.
Jessy could hear Francis’s suit over the coms, “priming detonator charge.”
“Francis, Baby? What are you doing?” Jessy questioned with concern.
“You know, I don’t say I love you often enough,” Francis replied.
“When we make it out of here you can tell me every day after you get that ring you promised me,” said Jessy. The radio was silent for a moment.
“I’m sorry,” was the last think Jessy heard before an explosion shook the Island. The fog cleared away, and Jessy could see the Volcano as it imploded upon itself.
“No!” Jessy fell to her knees.
Her radio lit up as Reg’s voice came on the mic, “Does anyone read!”
“Loud and clear,” replied Madoline.
“Affirmative,” said Clover.
“Yeah,” replied Solir with a sigh of relief.
“What happened to the fog?” asked Taz.
“Who’s crying?” asked Madoline.
“Francis is dead,” said Jessy. “He imploded the Volcano spewing the fog so that we could see the Copper Asteroid class Titan heading for the Gia this Island is on.”
“How long do we have?” Reg asked.
“Less than 10 mins,” Jessy replied.
“Everyone regroup on Mad,” Reg ordered. “Solir? How’s the dropship?”
“Totalled,” Trella Solir replied.
“Danil? How’s the Mobile Fortress?” Reg asked.
“Damaged. Trella and I are hunkered down inside. Mad and Ilean are taking on a Lightning Storm class Titan,” Clover replied.
“Can you get her airborne?” Reg asked.
“No,” Clover replied. “Flight systems are beyond repair.”
“Damn it,” Reg thought for a moment.
“Dad, this Storm just took out Betty.” Mad interrupted. “All systems down, I’m a sitting duck.”
“Jessy? Any ideas?” asked Reg, “Jessy? Come in!” but Jessy had already turned off her mic. “Damn it!”
“Coming up on Ilean now,” said Taz as he and Reg led the Primordial Tree Dragon to her.
Ilean heard all of that. If she was to save anyone the Storm had to go first. With a single bound she leaped back to the Tsunami of Flame at the Island’s beach and drank it. With a loud belch, a sphere of fire formed and grew till it shot forth a beam that turned the Tree Dragon Primordial to ash. The Storm Titan followed and struck Ilean with bolt after bolt of lightning, but it did nothing, and Ilean absorbed the entirety off the Storm through her skin and with a roar shot a powerful stream of electricity in an attempt to move the Copper Asteroid from its path to no avail. In fact, it had doubled its speed and re-aimed directly at the Island.
“Everyone in the Fortress!” Reg ordered.
“The Fortress won’t survive that,” Clover replied. “It’s over!”
Reg saw Ilean run to them and remembered his mother Revasai had mentioned that Ilean cannot digest flesh or bone. He pulled a small disk from his jacket as Mad ran to hug him, “at least we die together,” she said.
Reg slapped the disk on his daughter’s back as he hugged her back and then pulled her off of himself, “Brace for impact,” he said with a smile, “Ilean!” then he threw his daughter to her. All Ilean saw was a large blob of electricity, so she caught it mid-air in her mouth and swallowed it whole. Then the Astroid hit.
